IIIiteracy: 14 April 2013

A recap of the day’s Conference III action with help from the geniuses at SportsYapper:

Chicago 2, St. Louis 0: Chicago scored on a Blues goalie which was heretofore considered illegal, not that this guy knows. Predictably for the Brunchrence III game, the referees were heavily engaged. And these games are never physical enough for some fans or fans of the opposition. These low-scoring contests lead to yapfights and discussions on other sports. And don’t tell this guy about who the Hart front-runners are. And I guess it’s time for the goalie controversy again. Finally, someone BFIBed on the Yapper.

Detroit 3, Nashville 0: For Nashville this game was all about Filip Forsberg’s debut and, indeed, he did look nifty. And Pekka Rinne looked pretty good, too, as he will from time to time. But, alas, twasn’t meant to be, the deal more or less sealed when Bobby “Warning Track Power” Butler frittered away a penalty shot. Bonus Masters joke. Bonus fundamental misunderstanding of collective bargaining.
