IIIiteracy: 9 May 2013

A recap of tonight’s Conference III playoff action with help from the geniuses at SportsYapper:

Chicago 5, Minnesota 1: One does wonder how things could have been different in this series. Early in the period, the only exciting development was the first ever face-off violation called in NHL history. A fair assessment is that the Wild carried the play, though perhaps not to this degree.

But, alas, it’s not how, it’s how many and Hossa got one late in the first.

Minnesota finally tallied in the second — unfortunately, Chicago scored three times, Darcy Kuemper is in the game and the players were all but in the handshake line by the second intermission, so here’s round two analysis.

Congrats, Chicago, just as I called it, you knocked ’em down.
