IIIiteracy: 1 June 2013

A recap of today’s Conference III playoff action with help from the geniuses at SportsYapper:

Chicago 2, LA 1: To win this series, Chicago will have to get the puck “passed” Jonathan Quick, because pucks behind him are his weakness. Of course, Chicago is “pretty good” with Crawford in net as you might have noticed from the President’s Trophy they won.

So of course, the first goal of the series came down to decision making by the goalies: with Chicago having a huge shots advantage, Crawford gets a little roamy , as he’ll do, and Justin Williams — of course — opened the scoring.

Darryl Sutter is not as handsome as Patrick Sharp who ties the game. Moments later, Marian Hossa tied the game with equally handsome stickwork.

Is this guy a Nashville fan?

IMPORTANT INTERMISSION QUESTION. Best answer.

A strange sequence late as Bolland levels Richards and Chicago gets a power play to run out the clock and take Game One.

And here’s “Tumbling Dice” because it’s my blog and it’s my favorite Stones song.
