Quick analysis of the Predators 4-2 win over Toronto tonight:

Ten of the 12 points awarded to Nashville were from Americans, including Matt Cullen’s first four-point night since December of 2002. No joke.

The Bruins and Blues played a bruiser, 2-2 through 65 minutes, which was, naturally decided thus:

Up in Manitoba, the Jets hung with the Blackhawks for two periods but then their helmets slipped over their eyes or something:

6-3 Hawks in the end. Jets back in last.

Rangers 3, Stars 2. Brad Richards didn’t get on the scoresheet, Rick Nash did. Alex Chiasson scored, Walt & Jesse didn’t.


The unlikely duo of Sen. John Mitchell and Andre Benoit (?) put the Avs up 2-0 early, but the Coyotes scored three straight and Cody McLeod of the Clan McLeod tied it late to send this one to OT where Ryan O’Reilly did his magical Ryan O’Reilly stuff. And he did it live:
