This is only Dallas’ second challenge for The Belt, having lost 5-2 to then-holder Chicago on November 9. This is Nashville’s first defense in a long title run that begin with that 7-2 win over Chicago in the Nastiness in Nashville November 16. Nashville’s previous title run was far briefer, a two-day stint that ended with a 2-0 loss to Minnesota October 22.

If Nashville retains The Belt, the next challenge will come from Chicago, which visits Bridgestone Arena Dec. 17. If the challenging Stars take it, there’s no time for celebration, as they’ll square off against Winnipeg Saturday and then have a home-and-home back-to-back with Colorado Monday and Tuesday.

The Chambers Pot/Conference III Belt Title Match drops at 7 PM in Nashville.
