Thursday Thirteen: Drawn and Quartered
by J.R.
Every Thursday we bring you III Communication’s Conference III Power Rankings, the Thursday Thirteen.
This week, we’re a quarter of the way through.
Today In History
The original and still champion Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff and Colin Clive, opened on this day in 1931.
The film opened with Edward Van Sloan — a Minnesotan! — stepping from behind a curtain and saying:

Those last few sentences: “I think it will thrill you. It may shock you. It might even horrify you. So, if any of you feel that you do not care to subject your nerves to such a strain, now’s your chance to uh, well, ––we warned you!!” Works as a nice preface for Conference III action as the season’s second quarter gets underway tonight with five games featuring six Conference III teams. Only Minnesota has the night off. Lucky them.
In the word’s of Mr. Van Sloan:
I think it will thrill you. It may shock you. It might even horrify you. So, if any of you feel that you do not care to subject your nerves to such a strain, now’s your chance to uh, well, ––we warned you!!
